DMG

Your Safety Is Our Top Priority

At DMG, your health & safety is our top priority. We do everything we can to make sure our office is as clean & sterile as possible, so you don't have to worry about getting sick at your appointment.

Further Heightened Sterilization Standards

Especially during times of greater health concerns, you can leave your worry at the door & focus on your dental health. It's important to us that nothing gets in the way of providing high-quality, personalized care to each of our patients. It's common sense that a medical facility like a dental office would have procedures in place to make sure the office is clean for patients & staff. We are proud to exceed the standards of the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention as we make patient safety & office sterilization our top priorities.

Our dental instruments are thoroughly cleaned & sterilized before each use & we make certain there is no contamination possible. More than simply using soap & water, we sterilize our dental instruments using steam in a machine called an autoclave. The tools are subjected to high enough heat to kill any bacteria or viruses that may have been transferred to the tool during use.

Wherever we can, we use disposable materials & barriers that we throw away after each use, eliminating the need to sterilize them.

Personal Protective Measures

It's essential to prioritize infection control and safety in a dental practice. Here's a summary of the key measures your team takes to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients:

Infection Control Measures:

  • Dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants wear standard personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, eyewear, and masks.
  • All PPE is single-use and discarded after each patient to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Team members wear professionally cleaned clothing, and extra clean clothing is available for them to change into if needed.
  • These measures help maintain a fresh and safe environment for each patient's visit.

Maintaining rigorous infection control practices ensures a clean and safe experience for everyone at the dental practice. Patients can feel confident in the commitment to safety demonstrated by the dental team.

Disinfection Procedures

Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in dental offices is essential for the well-being of both patients and staff. Your approach to disinfecting surfaces in well-traveled rooms is commendable and helps ensure everyone's safety. Key steps you take include:

Routine Cleaning and Disinfection:

  • Regular office cleaning is conducted outside office hours to maintain overall cleanliness.
  • Multiple times a day, high-touch surfaces in each room are wiped down using medical-grade disinfectants.
  • Surfaces include countertops, tables, doorknobs, cabinets, sinks, and restroom facilities.

These measures are crucial in preventing the spread of infections and creating a clean and safe environment for everyone in the dental office. It's evident that you prioritize the health and safety of both your patients and your staff.

Filtered Water Lines

Maintaining clean and bacteria-free water lines in a dental office is vital to ensure the safety of all patients, especially those with compromised immune systems. It's evident that you prioritize the health and well-being of your patients. The key steps you take include:

Water Filtration:

  • Water lines used for rinsing patients' mouths are filtered to remove harmful bacteria and microorganisms.
  • The goal is to provide water that is safe for all patients, especially those who may be more susceptible to infections.

Regular Monitoring

  • The levels of bacteria in your water lines are regularly monitored to ensure they meet health and safety standards.
  • This proactive approach helps in maintaining clean and safe water for all patients.

System Cleaning:

  • Following the manufacturer's recommendations for cleaning and maintaining your water system ensures that it functions optimally.

These measures contribute to a hygienic and safe environment in your dental office, promoting the well-being of all patients. Your commitment to maintaining clean water lines is essential in dental care, as it helps prevent potential risks and complications, especially for more vulnerable patients.

A Team Effort

Keeping our patients safe & healthy takes the whole team, & we each do everything we can to maintain high standards. In addition to the precautions above, our team members stay out of the office when they are feeling unwell, & we ask that our patients do the same—for the health & well-being of our community.
